It's never "just dropping in"

We took the kiddos to Outback tonight........and I must say - the discussion on where to put them at the table took longer than it did for our food to arrive. Okay - maybe that's a little bit of exaggeration, but you get the point. We did stand there for a few minutes (which felt like 10) and discuss......"We can put Sofia here....you sit there, I'll sit here and Olivia can go next to me." "No wait - I should sit over there......" It was quite comical. We ended up putting the high chairs next to eachother on the same side of the table and D and I sat across from eachother. Now why was that so hard??

They were great during dinner - they sat and watched us eat and entertained themselves with the cloth napkins and paper coasters. Lesson learned --- who needs toys at the table? It was funny to me, though - the waiter and waitress kept putting things down in front of them......................... the warm bread with the big knife jabbed through it.........the bloomin' onion and container of sauce. And each time I was amazed at how fast little hands shot out to take hold of whatever was closest --- usually the most dangerous object. I know they were just looking at the appealing open space on the table..................

We ended our time out with a quick drop-in to Babies R US. Anyone who has kids knows you can't just "drop in" to BrU, right?? We went to look at convertible carseats..........and ended up making a little purchase.......

Apparently Olivia was happy with our selection. Sure - it's a luxury to have 4 - 2 for each car - but we switch cars so much we'd spend half our lives moving car seats around. Besides......we did manage to save $200......that's something, right?!?!?!

So yeah........we're having to say goodbye to out infant carriers - I've loved those!

That's about all for now!
