Little white lies.....

Mommy: "You need to sit down and eat your XXX"

2-year old with handful of said food: "Mommy, that's not XXX, that's hot dog!" and crams the food into her mouth.

A few minutes later...."Mommy, is this hot dog?"

Mommy and Daddy exchange a quick look and, at the same time "Yes, that's a hot dog!"

2-year old keeps eating the "hot dog" and all is right in the world.

Just a hypothetical conversation that may or may not have occurred in our house recently. Let's just say, for the sake of argument, that it did, in fact, occur. If it resulted in a clean plate at dinner.....when, these days, it's so hard to get 2 very active toddlers to sit and eat anything at all......is a little white lie all that bad??!!!
