Easter egg hunt.......er.....pick up

This past weekend, we took the girls to an Easter egg hunt hosted by my dad's work. It was really cool and very kid friendly. There were bounce houses everywhere.....balloons.....face painting......popcorn........and, of course, thousands of eggs. They had zones for different age groups. The girls and Carter were in the 0 - 3 area and it was so cute to see all the kids toddling (or running...if you're three!!) around with their baskets. I overheard someone saying there were over 15,000 eggs. Wow!! The eggs were laying all over the ground hence the title.....Easter egg pick-up - haha!

The girls were so funny -- we had gathered at the area where they would pick up the eggs and both girls were trying to pull away from us to start getting eggs. Olivia kept pointing all over the place saying "Ball!" *point over there* "Ball!". Very cute! When the horn blared, we let the girls go......and they knew exactly what to do! They picked up eggs and put them straight into their basket. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.

We tried to get their faces painted, but the girls were having none of it. That's okay, though -- they had a blast! See.............. (Sofia has the green basket, Olivia has the pink basket)

Olivia figured out that the eggs opened and there were prizes inside. Lucky for Mommy and Daddy, she had no interest in trying out the prizes!
