Only shorter. So....I'm still battling the insurance company. Nice. Today, October 6, 2008 - approximately 19 weeks after the birth of our girls, I finally get some "helpful" information regarding the availability of benefits.
"Well ma'am --- in order for specialists to be covered at the highest benefit level, you should have called and notified us within 72 hours of the birth of your children that you were utilizing the services of an out-of-network provider inside the in-network hospital."
Oh. Great. Where was that information in the GAZILLION phone calls I made to them to ensure I was doing all the right things to maximize coverage?
I just finished writing a nice and very pointed appeals letter. We'll see how THAT goes.
See.......I promised it was shorter!!!
