Here are some pictures of the house now that we've been here a while. Since I can't seem to figure out the spacing with captions, I'll just tell you that you're looking at our wonderful landscaping (lots of work! vacation, what?!), the fence, our bedroom (that would be the picture with the bed in it - hehe), the morning room and the formal dining room........you're smart - you can figure it out!! Oh yeah - they're getting close to being finished with the houses on either side of ours - I think you may see pieces of them in the outside pics. Woo hoo neighbors (i hope!)
Our girls entered the world on May 27th after a pregnancy filled with contractions, endless doctors visits, many worries and of course lots of prayers. I was on my 6th week in the hospital and they were ready to make their appearance.....10 1/2 weeks early. Sofia Kathryn came first weighing 2lb 11oz and Olivia Claire followed a minute later weighing 2lb 12.6oz. They were the tiniest babies I had ever seen and, although the doctors had told us not to expect them to cry, they each gave a tiny little wail to mark their entrance.
We couldn't imagine the emotions of the next 6 weeks in the NICU and we weren't prepared for the world of monitors and alarms and tubes that was ahead, but as each day passed we began to hit milestone after milestone and we soon realized how strong our girls were and how blessed our family was that they were healthy. We brought our girls home on July 10th and began our lives as a family. Not a day goes by that we don't stare at them in amazement - 2 sweet baby girls. How did we get so lucky.
